New Streetlight

Yesterday morning the CFE picker truck showed up and the new streetlight was installed. The light itself doesn't look new; but it is new to us. It lit up the street nicely last night and makes a big difference for people walking in the evening. We are on the corner and have a streetlight right here; but it is the only one on the block and so it is dark further down the street. I think we are lucky as I don't think many blocks have 2 streetlights. A good thing.
The landlords have an avocado tree that is very tall and of course, all the avocados are at the top. She told me that they got them picked yesterday and that she would bring us some up when they are ripe. I see some guacamole in my future. Yum.
Later on in the evening the oldest grand-daughter of the people from the corner store across the street from us came over with a birthday invitation in her hand for me. This party is going to be held in the same salon de eventos that the last one was held in, I guess it is a popular place in the summertime with the waterslides and pools.
