Centennial and Bicentennial Fair

I was away for a few days; but am back at home now.
As part of the Mexican Centennial and Bicentennial celebrations this year, here in Guaymas this weekend they are having a fair.  The fair showcases local talent and also has exhibits to view.  It is being held on the malecon and is a great place to relax and enjoy yourself.  The event, as is normal for events such as these, is free to all.
There was a stage set up for the entertainers and various exhibits, artwork, photos of the revolution, the stages of development of the Mexican flag, and also some very interesting statistics of Sonora.
There was a nice sized crowd watching the entertainment; but there were lots of chairs set up on three sides of the stage so we sat down to watch.
Apparently, it is also the 30 th anniversary, (1980-2010), this year of  Conalep , in Sonora and if I understood correctly some of the entertainers were from this  technical college.
Dancers, singers, etc. all found their way on stage and entertained the crowd.   We sat and watched until the modern dancers came on and then we decided to wander around and see what else was happening.
Tummies were grumbling so we headed for a torta stand and had some food before heading back to see what else there was to see.
Due to camera and user limitations the photos are not the greatest; but here are a few anyway.

The stage.

Painting on exhibit.
I had seen the young woman starting
this painting
at the Casa de la Cultura
and was impressed with the results.
 We both really liked it.
