Last night Nancy and one of the neighbor ladies came up and Nancy began to explain to me that they were here to invite me to an evento/fiesta ( event or party) and that it was a "despedida de soltera". OK, my Spanish challenged brain took that phrase and rapidly translated it to, " disappearance of single" HUH???? I didn't get it so I had Nancy type it into a translator on the computer. Those things are not great; but usually with its help I can manage to grasp enough to get the idea. Up popped "bachlorette", DUH, OK it is a bachlorette party.
I have been to lots of parties for various things here; but not a bachlorette or stagette party. When I looked at the envelope that the invitation was in I noticed that it said, "no niños" (no children). Hmmmm this could be interesting.
At Nancys baby shower they had a couple of cross dressing performers that they called transvestites, that was interesting to say the least and there were children in attendance at that, so what might this party have?
The party is on Friday night and should be a fun time..
