Distance wise San Carlos is only about 15 miles from where we live in Guaymas; but it is a world away in things other than mileage. San Carlos has beautiful views that is for certain.
This morning we went out for breakfast, it wasn't great, the food and cleanliness of the restaurant has definitely gone downhill since the last time we were there. We haven't been to San Carlos for probably 6 months or so and things have changed I guess.
We then went to the grocery store. Talk about sticker shock!! The price for a can of coffee was double what we pay in Guaymas. We picked up a couple of things and went to the check out. When the clerk gave me my change I just looked at it and then back at her with raised eyebrows. Oh no, she said, I told her in spanish that she still owed me 100 pesos, or around $10.00. She agreed and then gave me all of my change and we left. Not a good shopping trip.
Other than shopping we are having a good time here with the animals.
