Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada. We won't be having turkey here today, for one thing turkey is hard to come by in the Guaymas grocery stores. They seem to have smoked turkey; but not too many regular ones. The other reason is, what on earth would we do with a whole turkey, neither one of us likes the brown meat. We would end up eating turkey until we looked like turkeys. We may get a turkey dinner with all the fixings in November on US Thanksgiving. A lot of the restaurants in San Carlos will be serving it, so we may go over there to eat that day. Just to get my turkey fix.
We just love what the Canadian dollar is doing lately and hope that it continues to hang in there. Personally, it is certainly helping our buying power down here.
There was a house fire in our colonia the other day. Apparently it was a wooden home, unusual here, and it burnt to the ground. Luckily it was vacant, so no one was injured and they think that the fire was set, by some miscreants. Photo taken from El Vigia newspaper.
