Scrapbooking Anyone?

Scrapbooking Anyone?
Scrapbooking does not seem to have caught on here in Mexico, or not in our area anyway, as yet. I know it is big in lots of other countries and before I left Canada I did spend some time doing this enjoyable and sometimes frustrating hobby.
At that time most of the magazines, etc. came from either the USA, Austrailia or other countries.
Well, a step-niece (my late husbands niece) and her sister-in-law were into scrapbooking in a big way. It started out as a hobby and grew into her having an online store. They still wanted more, so they began making plans. Their plans turned into the first Canadian scrapbooking magazine. Wow. It is called Canadian Scrapbooker, look for it in your stores. They also have a website here: Canadian Scrapbooker
The other day our landlord came up with a package for me which came in the mail. It was a copy of the magazine that my sister in law had sent from Canada. She mailed it on February 14, 2008 and I received it on April 11, 2008. So you can see the mail is slow to get here; but get here it did. It cost her $14.82 to mail it to me from Canada, so the cost is not cheap either. It had also been opened and taped shut again, by customs I assume.
I was flabbergasted to see the package and have been enjoying reading the magazine. I have not been doing any scapbooking here in Mexico as I have not seen any supplies for it here; perhaps in the bigger cities these things are available, I don't know.
If you are interested in scrapbooking, look for their magazine in a store near you. The website has a list of stores where it is available. There are outlets all across Canada and also one in South Carolina. They also take international subscriptions.
The cover of the magazine that they sent me, an old issue now.

The top photo on this page shows my step niece and her 4 children, the photo of the 2 ladies is my step niece and her sister in law.
