Cristo Rey de Guaymas

On November 19th the Bishop of the Diocese of Ciudad Obregon, Juan Manuel Sanchez Mancillas and the priest Manuel Santos Santoyo David, of the Church of San Fernando announced that they will be building Cristo Rey de Guaymas. It will be built north of the city near the farm San German. It will be over 25 meters high according to the newspaper, according to the local TV news the base will be 6 meters high and the statue will be 28 meter high. Also according to the TV news it will be the biggest one in Mexico. Right now at the place where this will be built is a little cement plaza and a 5 meter cross on a pedestal.
