World Mayor 2008
I was surfing around this evening and found this site about a contest called "World Mayor". Apparently nominations were put in for the 2008 award last year, then votes were taken to cut the list down from 820 to 50. Imagine my surprise when I read that our mayor of Guaymas, Antonio Astiazaran, made the short list of 50. There were only 2 on the Latin America section from Mexico and the other one is the mayor of Hermosillo, the capital of our state of Sonora. Wow, way to go Sonora.
