The other day when we were out walking around we walked by the Obelisk. This used to be situated in downtown Guaymas and at some point, I don't know what year, was moved; but probably when they were re-doing the street because of heavier traffic flow. It is now situated at the juncture where the road splits into two. One road taking you onto the highway through Empalme and south and the other street (Serdan) going to downtown Guaymas.
It is also now missing the wreath at the top that you can see in the old photos. I don't know what happened to that; but it is no longer there.
It seems like everytime we go by this I never have my camera; but the other day I did, so took some pictures.
