Spring here is also the time of the year when the native plants put on their flowery gowns. Most of the native trees and plants blossom; but the roses and annuals that we grow over the winter, such as petunias, are nearing the end of their season. It is just too hot for them in the summer. Not too much gardening goes on here in the summer. As I mentioned the petunias are looking sad and the roses, while still blooming are doing less of it and the blooms are much smaller. This might be a different story if we had a roof over our patio; but we are still waiting for that, along with the tiles on the floor of it. Oh well, it will come in time I guess.
The Plumeria, Desert Rose, Bougainvillea, and the Hibiscus are really pretty right now and the Jasmin also is blooming more than it has ever done; although I forgot to take a picture of it. I have to say it smells great up here between the Plumeria and the Jasmin.
Plumeria.
Below is the Desert Rose.
One sprig of the Bougainvillea.

My friend S.'s Portulaca that I am babysitting for her while she is in Canada for the summer. I hope it survives til she returns in the fall; but no promises on that one.

And finally, for Steve. The mangos, as you can see we still have quite some time before Mango soup.
